Highlights

Gather and assemble your SHARDs. Patch 1.3 brings major buffs to Limit Breaking, and offensive perks.

We would also like to announce some big upcoming changes, and longterm plans for the game!

Buffs

Limit Break

In our ongoing effort to promote more aggressive playstyles, we are buffing many offensive perks, and nerfing some defensive perks.

The chance of Limit Break success is not high. Additionally, the bonus stats applied via a Limit Break attempt, were rather insignificant. Now, the bonus stats will match the bonus applied when enhancing Legendary equipment.

Limit Break bonus stats:

  • Bonus armor from 1-2 to 4-6
  • Bonus damage from 1-2 to 51-53

A Limit Break, even if it does not successfully deliver a perk, will no longer feel like a complete waste.

AA Afflicter

Increased Curse damage:

  • LG from 10-20% to 20-30%
  • EP from 5-10% to 15-20%

AA Assaulter

Increased damage to blocking opponent:

  • LG from 20-30% to 30-40%
  • EP from 10-20% to 20-30%

AA Preposterous Power

Increased damage to knockback sttacks:

  • LG from 20-30% to 30-40%
  • EP from 10-20% to 20-30%

BA Combo Initiate

Increased damage to attacks used in quick repitiion:

  • LG from 15-20% to 25-30%
  • EP from 10-15% to 20-25%
  • RA from 5-10% to 15-20%

FA Finishing Blow

Increased damage to knocked down opponent:

  • LG from 15-20% to 25-30%
  • EP from 10-15% to 20-25%
  • RA from 5-10% to 15-20%

GW Breaker

Increased damage after interrupting:

  • LG from 20-25% to 25-30%
  • EP from 15-20% to 20-25%
  • RA from 10-15% to 15-20%

GW Pain & Misery

Chance to initiate unstoppable state:

  • LG from 25-30% to 35-40%
  • EP from 20-25% to 30-35%
  • RA from 15-20% to 25-30%

HA Artful Healer

Increased damage after using a Heal:

  • LG from 15-20% to 30-40%
  • EP from 10-15% to 20-30%
  • RA from 5-10% to 10-20%

HA Stun Strike

Increased damage to stunned opponent:

  • LG from 15-20% to 25-30%
  • EP from 10-15% to 20-25%
  • RA from 5-10% to 15-20%

LS Constant Barrage

Increased damage for cards that cost 3- Stamina:

  • LG from 15-20% to 25-30%
  • EP from 10-15% to 20-25%
  • RA from 5-10% to 15-20%

LS Excessive Force

Increased damage for cards that cost 5+ Stamina:

  • LG from 20-25% to 25-30%
  • EP from 15-20% to 20-25%
  • RA from 10-15% to 15-20%

SS Whisper of the Witch

Increased Curse duration:

  • LG from 2 seconds to 4 seconds
  • EP from 1-2 seconds to 3 seconds
  • RA from 1 second to 2 seconds

WA Trauma

Increased damage to stunned opponent:

  • LG from 15-20% to 25-30%
  • EP from 10-15% to 20-25%
  • RA from 5-10% to 15-20%

Adjustments

GW Desperation

After some testing, we realized that Desperation users were not receiving bonus damage! An emergency patch was applied in May.

Now, we will experiment with making it a bit more usable - but a lot more dangerous. Go ahead and cast it. We dare you.

  • Stamina cost from 5 to 4
  • Additional Damage received from 0% BUG! first to 100%/90%/80%… now to 150%/140%/130%…

GW Kick

A previous nerf took away it's ability to break block. After further review, it makes more sense to just nerf GW Kick's Stamina cost.

  • Stamina cost from 2 to 3
  • Break block from 30%/31.3%/32.6%… to 75%/76%/77%…

GW/LS/SS Heal

Heals were mostly unusable... the scaling was awful, and they were too slow. Skilled players would not allow their opponent to get away with using a Heal.

We hesitate to buff any Heal spell - but will increase their usability by speeding up the duration interval.

  • Healing from 10%/10.1%/10.2%… to 8%/8.2%/8.4%…
  • Healing interval from 1.5 seconds to 1 second

Nerfs

In contrast to offensive perks - some defensive perks and some healing abilities are getting hit with a nerf.

AA Unyielding

Increased Block duration:

  • LG from 2-3 seconds to 2 seconds
  • EP from 1-2 seconds to 1 second

BA Stone Heart

This amount of bonus health was unreasonable. Even after being cut in half, it is still arguably the most powerful perk.

Increased max health:

  • LG from 50-60% to 25-30%
  • EP from 40-50% to 20-25%
  • RA from 30-40% to 15-20%

GW/LS/SS Potion

Potions are currently a staple in any deck. Players even use Potions while they have full health - just to cycle through cards. This nerf will hopefully make the selection and use of Potions more deliberate.

  • Stamina cost from 1 to 2

GW/LS/SS Sweep

This is probably the final Sweep nerf.

  • Damage from 50%/55%/60%… to 40%/45%/50%…

GW Enrage

  • Healing from 25%/28%/31%… to 20%/23%/26%…

LS Dragon Stab

Reinforcing this card as low risk, low reward.

  • Damage from 80%/100%/120%… to 64%/80%/96%…

WA Iron Stance

Reduced Break Block chance:

  • LG from 40-50% to 30-40%
  • EP from 30-40% to 20-30%
  • RA from 20-30% to 10-20%

Coming Soon

We recognize the difficulty and challenges in using crypto, and DeFi to enhance the CryptoKnights experience. We are planning to implement a way for all players to more easily enjoy special features.

App stores

We are planning to connect to the App stores! This will allow players to access features that are currently only available to owners of Boosted knights:

  • Acquire additional knights
  • Unlock additional equipment slots
  • Change knight names
  • Buy SHARDs, ENERGY, GOLD
  • Open Champion Quests

Etc!

Knights who are already Boosted, will be able to access additional exclusive features, by also participating in the App stores!

New features

In additional to expanding access to old features, we have plans to implement some fun and in-demand tools:

  • Reset daily EXP limit
  • Transfer equipment between knights
  • Apply daily/monthly BUFFs
