Highlights

After a long wait, we are ready to release the biggest patch yet!

Unfortunately, we are still unable to get our App updated! Despite this - Patch 1.5 still brings massive changes to the CryptoKnights experience.

Soft Capping

We want players to play - and to play a lot.

We have removed the daily EXP/GOLD/RUBY hard caps, and replaced them with soft caps. This will allow dedicated and passionate players to continue to grow and earn - without limits!

There are a few issues that this patch hopes to solve:

  • Players can reach their daily EXP cap too easily
  • After reaching the daily cap, players can only lose EXP, and can not win it back
  • PvP vs a human player is dangerous
  • PvP vs a human player does not offer any bonus reward

PvP EXP

  • Daily maximum rewarded wins from 12 to Unlimited
  • Reward decay per win from 0…100% to 4%
  • Minimum reward per win from 0 to 4%
  • Defeat human player bonus from 0 to 60%
  • Boosted Knight bonus from 0 to 4%
  • Defeated by human player mercy from 0 to 40%
  • Defeated penalty growth per loss from 0 to 4%

PvP GOLD

  • Base reward from 341* to 360* + Knight level
  • Daily maximum rewarded wins from 40 to Unlimited
  • Reward decay per win from 0…100% to 4%
  • Minimum reward per win from 0 to 4%
  • Defeat human player bonus from 0 to 60%
  • Boosted Knight bonus from 0 to 4%

PvP RUBY

  • Base reward from 50% Knight level to 10 + (50% Knight level)
  • Daily maximum rewarded wins from 20 to Unlimited
  • Reward decay per win from 0…100% to 4%
  • Minimum reward per win from 0 to 1
  • Defeat human player bonus from 0 to 60%

PVP Activity

  • Defeat human player bonus from 0 to 60%

Story EXP

  • Reward decay per win from 0…100% to 4%
  • Minimum reward per win from 0 to 4%
  • Boosted Knight bonus from 0 to 4%

Battle Reward Example Scenarios

Bonuses apply after the soft capped base reward.

  • Defeating a BOT for your 1st win: 100% rewards
  • Defeating a PLAYER for your 1st win: 160% rewards
  • Boosted Knight: Defeating a BOT for your 1st win: 104% rewards
  • Boosted Knight: Defeating a PLAYER for your 1st win: 164% rewards
  • Defeating a BOT for your 21st win: 20% rewards
  • Defeating a PLAYER for your 21st win: 80% rewards
  • Defeating a BOT for your 31st win: 4% rewards
  • Defeating a PLAYER for your 31st win: 64% rewards
  • Defeating a BOT for your 41st win: 4% rewards
  • Defeating a PLAYER for your 41st win: 64% rewards
  • Boosted Knight: Defeating a BOT for your 41st win: 8% rewards
  • Boosted Knight: Defeating a PLAYER for your 41st win: 68% rewards

Champion Quest EXP

To help compensate for potentially dimished PvP EXP, and to reinforce the idea that completing quests is important - Champion Quests are getting a healthy EXP reward buff.

  • 2 hour EXP reward from 35 to 80
  • 6 hour EXP reward from 100 to 240
  • 8 hour EXP reward from 130 to 320
  • 10 hour EXP reward from 165 to 400

Super BOTs

This patch brings many updates to PvP BOTs. The decks used by BOTs will be more diverse and unpredictable. BOTs will no longer have cards in their decks that they use poorly - including Heals, Taunts, some advanced blocks.

Additionally, BOT cards will scale with their PvP tiers - making them much more dangerous!

Buffs

Weapon perks are often very, very weak. Many perks do not feel impactful, or very useful.

Acquiring a perk should always make you consider changing your strategy. Getting +3-4 to a card that you did not previously use... may cause you to consider putting that card in your deck!

AA Hex of the Witch

Curse duration:

  • LG from 3 seconds to 4-6
  • EP from 2-3 seconds to 2-4

AA Iron Will

Increase Block level:

  • LG from 1-2 to 2-3
  • EP from 1 to 1-2

AA Tireless

Reduce multi-swing attack Stamina cost:

  • LG/EP from 4+ cost to 3+ cost

BA Brace Up

Chance to reduce incoming damage:

  • LG/EP from 20% chance to 25% chance

BA Faithful

Reduce incoming damage while low health:

  • FIXED!
  • LG from below 20% health to below 25% health

BA Rebellion

Chance to reduce incoming damage while equipping an unstoppable card:

  • FIXED!
  • LG/EP/RP from 40% chance to 50% chance

FA Deftly Dodger

Increase Dodge level:

  • LG from 1-2 to 2-3
  • EP from 1 to 1-2

FA Hallowed

Reduce Curse duration:

  • LG from 1-2 seconds to 4-8 seconds
  • EP from 1 second to 2-4 seconds

FA Swift Revenge

Increases damage after a successful dodge:

  • LG from 15-20% to 20-30%
  • EP from 10-15% to 10-20%

GW Enlightened

Increase GW Resolve level:

  • LG from 1-2 to 3-4
  • EP from 1 to 2-3

GW Ephemeral Strategy

Increase attack card levels while in overtime:

  • LG from 1-2 to 2-3
  • EP from 1 to 1-2

GW Fancy Footwork

Increase GW Sweep level:

LS Pommel Strike

Being stunned for a really long time is not fun. The shortened duration should still provide enough time to get a free attack, but probably not a Potion and a free attack.

Perk discovery

These powerful perks are now very rare. In the next patch, they will become almost impossible to find. Items that possess these perks, may become very high value.

This will be a common replacement to BA Stone Heart, which will become almost impossible to find.

Increase max health:

This is a very interesting and dynamic addition to the perk pool.
