Highlights

After another long wait, we are ready to release massive changes to the CryptoKnights economy, and game play!

These changes allow for additional opportunities, to continue scaling your Knight, discovering new prizes, and unlocking new achievements.

Boundless scaling

  • Max ENERGY from 120 to 110 + Knight level
  • Max equipment slots from 300 to 400
  • Max card levels from:
    • CM 16 to 17
    • RR 12 to 13
    • EP 8 to 9
    • LG 5 to 6
  • Max equipment limit breaks from 5 to 6
  • Max Achievement levels from 3 to 6
  • New Champion quests

Combat pacing

In an attempt to speed up fights, many support and light attack cards have decreased cost.

  • Base round time from 60 to 40 seconds
  • Curse duration from 10 to 8 seconds

As a side effect, this will provide an inherit bonus to perks with Overtime effects.

Legendary cards

Legendary cards have been too difficult to discover, and thus difficult to balance. To emphasize the importance of Champion quests, Legendary cards now have increased discovery for Tier 12 (Zion II) loot boxes.

Balance

Summary

  • Block type defensive cards are weaker, and parry type defensive cards are stronger.
  • Support cards are easier to use, but are sometimes less impactful.
  • Break and Kick attacks are easier and more strategic in use, but do less damage. It may now be difficult to finish off an opponent using only Common cards.
  • Legendary cards are harder to use, but are often more powerful.

Card scaling

In general, Epic and Rare cards will now start off weaker, but scale more dramatically.

An Epic card stat change that matches it's previous power by level 4-5, will be considered a neutral adjustment. A change that matches the power faster, will be considered a buff. Anything slower will be considered a nerf.

A Rare card stat change that matches it's previous power by level 6-7, will be considered a neutral adjustment. A change that matches the power faster, will be considered a buff. Anything slower will be considered a nerf.

Note, that this means there are some changes that are marked as nerfs, but will actually be buffs at high levels.
